With her sleek chignon, fitted Zac Posen cocktail dress, and spindly Louboutins, Witherspoon was the picture of minimalist elegance. But, look closer and you'll see there's a bit of flair, here. Yes, we're talking about that odd little fabric flap attached to her dress' neckline, and under her arms.
Since we've never exactly seen it before, we're not sure what to call this evolution in evening wear. The back collar? The reverse mini-cape? The armpit wing? Whatever it is, we admire the way it adds a little interest to a dress that could otherwise appear severe. We bet it'd look pretty cool in a bend and snap, too.
