The Only Workout You Need This Holiday

The indoor-cycle class craze is officially at fever pitch. Even so, we’re always down to welcome a newbie into our roster of studios. We’ve heard great things about NY-based Flywheel, so when we learned that the cult-status fitness program was coming to the Bay Area, we were eager to give it a spin. (Pun intended.)
The new Silicon Valley studio (in Sunnyvale, to be exact) is perfect for any health-obsessed techie, thanks largely to its "Torqboards" — digital screens that function as leaderboards, displaying real-time metrics on calories burned, resistance, and speed. Not a fan of sharing? You don't have to opt in — your individual stats from each ride can still be viewed privately through your personal Flywheel account.

"We have been looking to expand to the Bay Area, specifically Silicon Valley, for quite some time," says founder Ruth Zukerman.
"We believe the area will embrace the way we’ve integrated technology into an empowering and highly effective workout."

The 48-seat studio officially opens on Tuesday, November 25 — just in time for the holiday feasts — but if you just can't wait that long, Flywheel will be offering free classes Saturday, November 22 through Monday, November 24 in advance of its grand opening. Just sign up for a Flywheel account and send an email with your requested time and registration info.
An extra piece of Thanksgiving pie? Don't mind if we do.
