Part of us wants to get precious about how little Abigail Breslin is now an 18-year-old young woman with a music video blasting lame dudes. The other part of us, however, remembers that this is the same girl who went pre-Miley Miley to "Super Freak" in Little Miss Sunshine. So, yeah, we can't say the video for "You Suck" just came out of nowhere.
Anyway, it turns out the Oscar-nominated actress is a bit of a musician, boasting both vocal and guitar skills. She's also something of a songwriter. If the music video for "You Suck" is anything to go by, the budding pop star draws inspiration from, well, douchebags.

"This is a song I wrote about those guys who are players and use people and just generally aren't really good people," Breslin told Teen Vogue. "It's about things I've witnessed — it's not OK when guys don't have respect for girls. I wrote it in the heat of the moment, and I think a lot of people will relate to it."
Though the music video for "You Suck" basically has the production value of a 1-800-MATTRESS commercial, the song itself isn't without some tormented teen charm. It's a little bit Kelly Clarkson, a little bit Carly Simon, and a little bit generic bubblegum pop.
Whoever this dude was, he sounds like a piece of work. Sing it out, Abs. (Teen Vogue)
