Will & Kate Met Brooklyn Royalty Last Night

Be honest: If you were a British royal and could have your pick of Americans to meet on your trip to the States, you'd totally pick Beyoncé and Jay Z, right? It seems the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are no different.
The royal couple met our version of royalty at last night's Brooklyn Nets game at Barclays Center. We can only imagine that the foursome shook hands on their arranged marriage between Blue Ivy and Prince George before scheduling a double date for the weekend. Things have been a bit lonely since Chris and Gwynnie split, you see.

The expectant parents also posed for a post-game photo op with Cavs player LeBron James. King James gifted the royals with a baby jersey for little George, a larger "Cambridge 7" version for an adult, and cupcakes from his hometown of Akron, OH. For that he can surely be forgiven for breaching royal protocol by wrapping a sweaty arm around the Duchess.

It was a thrilling night for royal-watchers and Bey/Jay fans, but not everyone was excited. Just outside Barclays Center were protestors fighting against NYPD violence in the wake of the Eric Garner verdict. It doesn't really have anything to do with Will and Kate, but royals, cake, and protests are never a good combination.
