A teenager was shot and killed by police near Ferguson last night, after he allegedly pointed a gun at an officer. This is a developing story...
Antonio Martin, 18, pointed a gun at a police officer at a Mobil station in Berkeley, Missouri, late Tuesday night, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The officer fired and fatally wounded Martin.
Berkeley is just a few miles from Ferguson, Missouri, where unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown was killed by an officer this summer. The area has been the center of a heated national debate over the shootings of young black men by police.

Scuffles broke out almost immediately between police and several hundred protesters who gathered at the scene. Pepper spray was used and at least four people were arrested. By dawn, the gathering had mostly broken up.
At a press conference Wednesday morning, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said the officer, who is white, fired three rounds at Martin, one of which killed him. Martin is not known to have fired his gun. Belmar said that Martin had a criminal past, and that "bad choices were made."
St. Louis police also released the video, below, which appears to be surveillance camera footage from the gas station where the incident took place.
