The world has been obsessed with Christina Hendricks' flaming-red locks ever since her debut on Mad Men back in 2007. So, it comes as no surprise (our reaction was like, "It's about time!") that the former model has been tapped as the new ambassador for Clairol's Nice 'n Easy hair-color line.
This decision makes total sense, seeing as Hendricks has been coloring her hair since age 10, citing Anne of Green Gables as her inspiration. The most surprising tidbit we learned from the announcement, though, is that she dyes her tresses herself (gasp!) — using Clairol's products, naturally. "People never believe that I do my hair color myself at home. They say, 'You don’t do your hair at home by yourself, do you?' and I always reply and say, 'I honestly do!'" she said. "I'm so excited about being the new Nice 'n Easy ambassador. It's a product I've been using ever since I went red."
While it's slightly disappointing that one of our favorite TV redheads isn't a natural ginger, we're also seriously impressed by her dyeing skills. Hendricks puts our botched high school box jobs to serious shame. (Although, to be fair, she's had some time to practice.) Either way, this pairing is a color match made in hair heaven.
