Here Are The 2015 Oscar Nominees

Illustrated by Ly Ngo.
Just as the buzz from the Golden Globes settled down, we now have the nominations for the 2015 Academy Awards. Moments ago, the nominees were announced via live stream. Director J.J. Abrams and Alfonso Cuarón announced the first half of category nominees. Then, academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs and actor Chris Pine announced the remaining categories.
Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel received the most nominations, with nine each. While Selma was nominated for Best Picture, director Ava DuVernay was snubbed. In fact, no women were nominated for Best Director, and not a single person of color was nominated across all of the acting categories.
