Diplo has plenty to say in his latest GQ interview, but let's cut to the chase
— a lot of it is about Taylor Swift. The EDM star (and supposed Katy Perry flame) first started throwing shade at the singer and her "little booty" in the fall, prompting outrage from her fans and a Twitter comeback from Lorde.
Now, he calls himself a "pretty big" Swift fan who wants "to bring out positivity." In the same breath, however, Diplo claims to "know lots of secrets" about the pop star. Apparently, he knows so much that he's "scared for his life."
"She [Swift] has like forty million Twitter fans," he tells the magazine. "Forty million! Yeah. It's crazy. I'm a fan though. Her powers — she's big. She's strong, bro. Taylor Swift is very strategic with her friends and enemies. And I know lots of secrets. I can't divulge, but I know a lot of stuff about her. And she's definitely, there's definitely scary stuff going on. And I'm scared. I'm scared for my life."
We can only assume he's in fear of Swift's legion of fans, not the singer herself, seeing as she doesn't seem the type to put a contract on anyone's head.
Diplo says he felt the wrath of Swifty Nation after dissing her last fall.
"Like, Taylor Swift fans are really crazy," he says. "They threatened to murder me and stuff. It's really bizarre, and disgusting. They're the worst people in the world.
"They're like 'I wish your kids had Down syndrome,'" he adds. "They're so evil. I dissed Lady Gaga before, and the gays were never even this mean. They're funny. These people are like mean-spirited, evil human beings."
Don't poke the bear, dude. Seriously, though, just what are these so-called secrets he claims to be privy to? What did he do, read her journal?
