Katy Perry Kicks Off Super Bowl Week With A “Leaked” Preview

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Come Sunday, February 1, violence and pop music will join forces for Super Bowl XLIX. How very American. How very football.  The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will bring the big guns and pigskin while Katy Perry is slated to bring the tunes to the halftime show — roaring, no doubt. Aside from a Lenny Kravitz cameo, details surrounding Perry's performance have been kept under wraps. Until today, that is.  A two-minute preview of Perry's 12-minute medley has "leaked." Tim Heidecker, of Tim & Eric fame, "obtained" the snippet, and boy is it something. It's almost insultingly simple! Does Perry think those tuning in to her show don't understand the game? What else would motivate her to ever outline, in lyric form, how to win?   The answer is nothing, because this leak is fake. Like, so obviously fake, it's hilarious. It's the ClickHole of music parodies. The Onion of pop satire. Though, something about Kravitz's cynical speech at the end seems to, uh, ring true. See you (and the real Katy Perry) this Sunday.
