Is Marion Cotillard’s Travel Style Even Cooler Than Her Red Carpet Style?

One of the best
things about a new Marion Cotillard film is the slew of jaw-dropping red carpet gowns that are bound to follow. And, in true Parisian style-star form,
Cotillard’s award-worthy glamour naturally transitions into her off-duty looks, too. Case in point: After numerous appearances for her film Two Days, One Night, we
spotted the Oscar-nominated actress at LAX in this eclectic ensemble.

In a look that's perfectly comfortable enough for traveling, Cotillard blends iconic silhouettes from various decades for the ultimate retro vibe. Her black-and-white-striped shirt and skinny jeans evoke
Audrey Hepburn in the '50s and '60s, while the leopard cape — a '70s statement piece — adds a hint of drama to an otherwise simple combo. With oversized wayfarers as the final touch, Cotillard breathes a little '80s sprit into her look as well.

Overall, this outfit as a whole is far more than the sum of its parts — especially considering its practicality. The jacket is warm and cozy, yet it has holes for optimum arm functionality. Meanwhile, Cotillard's Robert Clergerie booties can be slipped off for the TSA, and the oversized sunnies shield her from the paparazzi (and/or the blazing sun after a red-eye). Even though she may be channeling styles from decades past, one could argue that her quirky mixture is as unique as any contemporary Dior ensemble. Eh, well, sorta.
