Do You Live In The Most Lovesick States?

Sometimes a simple song can really nail how you're feeling (haven't we all cried to Adele at some point?). Maybe that's why Pandora checked out its users' listening preferences to get some insight on their love lives. According to new information from Pandora, five states in particular are feeling kind of blue these days. California, Utah,  Hawaii, and Washington are the most "lovesick" states in the country. (Washington D.C. is also in the top five, though it's not technically a state.) In this particular study, Pandora defined "lovesick" as those who listened to the Love Stinks and Breakup Songs stations the most. Sam Smith and Taylor Swift abound on both stations. You get the idea. Conversely, Pandora identified North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, West Virginia, New Hampshire, and Maine as those states who listen to love songs the least. Maybe it's because most of those states are really cold and everyone automatically has a snuggle buddy for survival purposes. Hence, they feel less lonely. Total conjecture, here. Dare we ask Netflix to conduct a similar survey? Because, we're pretty sure Friends is the best thing for binge-watching your broken heart away.
