There Is So Much ’90s Boy Band Love Happening Here

There were so many reunions happening at SNL's anniversary special, it would take us another 40 years to cover them all. So, let's just focus on the one you Millennials care about most: 'N Sync and Backstreet Boys.  Alas, rumors alleging that the rival '90s boy bands were both set to reunite last night proved false. Neither act performed or turned up in a skit, except Justin Timberlake's opener with Jimmy Fallon (when are those two doing a buddy comedy?) But all was not lost. 'N Syncers Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and Chris Kirkpatrick were in the audience, as were Backstreeters A.J. McLean and Howie Dorough. (J.C. Chasez, Nick Carter, where art thou?) Instead of having a good ol' West Side Story-style dance-and-snap-off, the two rival factions made nice in one of the most '90s selfies of all time. Guys, next time chip in on a selfie stick and squeeze Lance and JT in the shoot.
