Kate Middleton Is Headed To Downton Abbey

Kate Middleton is going to hobnob with the help on Downton Abbey. It's one of her favorite shows, you see. Kate won't be journeying far to pay the cast a visit; instead of journeying to Highclere Castle in Hampshire, which serves as the exterior of fictional abbey on the show, Kate will be dropping by the set at Ealing Studios in West London on March 12. The official reason for the visit is "to celebrate the success of the award-winning production," the palace announced today in a statement.  During her visit, "Kate will watch one take of a scene being filmed in the servants' quarters for series 6, and a second take of the scene via a monitor in the 'Video Village' area."  Kate will also get a personal tour of the studio from series creator Julian Fellowes. They'll drop by every department from wardrobe to makeup. The Duchess will then have a reception with cast members, producers, and writers; they'll also pose for an official photograph together.  Perhaps she'll be able to clear something up for the Dowager Countess while she's there. (People)
