Kim Kardashian Makes A Strong Case For Granny Panties

Because it's Paris Fashion Week, it's expected that Kim Kardashian-West would wear something noteworthy. Perhaps an opulent dress that coordinates with her biggest fashion fan, husband Kanye West. Or, maybe a menswear suit that turns maternity style on its head. Or, perhaps something that has potential to get banned on Instagram. Kim chose the latter at the Lanvin show yesterday. But, while her "new 2015 vision" is a bit more au naturel than her past Paris show outfits, we have to admit she makes a great case for one of the most covered-up cuts of underwear: granny panties. In an outfit that put her many other naked dresses to shame, Kim's latest choice was made completely of mesh material. But, what was most impressive was the high-waisted, flesh-toned bottoms Kim wore beneath the see-through dress. Although we are no strangers to the supportive, comfy genre of undergarments, we admit we've never seen them take center stage quite like this.  While we can't say for certain that we'd try this styling trick for ourselves — public quasi-nudity takes a certain, specific type of badass — we give this look props for being one of the best, if not only, uses of foundation-garments-as-Fashion-Week-outfit-centerpieces we've seen yet.
