Nobody Wears Jeans & A Tee Like Rihanna Wears Jeans & A Tee

If you're still of the belief that jeans and T-shirts are reserved for lazy weekends or errand runs, allow Rihanna to prove you wrong. The singer has showed time and again her talent for reworking the classic all-American textile, but her latest twist on basic blues is her most inventive yet. Her strategy is a simple one: Take all of your favorite pieces and pile them on top of each other.  Stopping for a casual lunch in between Paris Fashion Week appearances, RiRi was photographed wearing pale-blue boyfriend jeans (cuffed to a perfect ankle taper), which she paired with a classic white crewneck tee. This combo is easy enough, sure, but when you add a dark-wash Levi's jacket, toss on a shearling-lined leather coat, and then kick on light-pink PVC heels, the laid-back look reaches new heights. Literally, in fact — that heel adds some serious lift. Of course, her loads of spangly necklaces, red lipstick, and round sunglasses don't hurt the cause, either. Any Paris Fashion Week attendee hopes her outfit makes a statement, but only Rihanna can make this juxtaposition of casual-meets-fancy-meets-everything-but-the-kitchen-sink look so harmoniously badass.
