The sports world is in mourning following the deaths of three top athletes in a helicopter crash yesterday, the BBC reports. The sports stars, all of whom hailed from France, had been in Argentina filming a reality show when the accident occurred.
A total of 10 people died in the crash, the result of two helicopters colliding. Among the deceased were Olympic swimmer Camille Muffat, 25; sailor Florence Arthaud, 57; and Olympic boxer Alexis Vastine, 28. There were no survivors.
Muffat, Arthaud, and Vastine were in Argentina to film Dropped, a French reality show featuring various athletes. The three posed with their fellow contestants for a final selfie not long before the accident. The three victims can be seen on the right.
