Dolce & Gabbana’s fall 2015
runway show may have been inspired by the Italian matriarch — otherwise known as la mamma — but the collection’s statement piece was actually a nod to the kids. The label has officially teamed up with the audio company FRENDS (founded by a young group of pro snowboarders) to create ornate custom headphones, offering a Dolce-approved take on the indie brand's over-ear style. In other words, these definitely aren't your average earbuds — they're about as swanky as headphones can get, carefully embellished with materials
like pearls, jewels, velvet, and gold chains across the earpieces and bridge.

Although it was initially rumored that the
luxe leather headphones were a runway-only collaboration, we just received word
that you can splurge on a pair yourself. Two of
the original catwalk versions have officially landed on Moda Operandi. Take your pick between a red-leather style that’s covered in Swarovski crystals, or a green version decked out in fox fur and jewels. Priced between approximately $7,000 and $8,000, these are about 35 times
more expensive than the plain FRENDS Taylor style — not to mention about $2,000 more than those Chanel quilted Monster ones from last season.

If you do decide to shell out, we
have one word of advice: Don’t leave them on the subway. Or at the gym. Or in the office. With a pair like these,
you definitely won’t be getting them back.
