One Is The Loneliest Number On The Saddest Jeopardy Ever

You win some and you lose some, and for Jeopardy winner Kristin Sausville, this week was a little bit of
both. The stay-at-home mom from Delaware was the only player left standing after both of her competitors managed to get themselves
in the red on Wednesday. Sausville bet $1,600 on the last question — which, admittedly, was a
doozy — and got the answer wrong, which made things even more awkward than they
already were.

“It was more nerve-wracking to be the only person on stage. On
the one hand, it was nice not to have to worry about what anyone else was
wagering, but at the same time, it meant that all of the contestant coordinators,
compliance people, and stage crew were standing around me,” she said. Still and
all, she still came out with $6,800 for the game, and $31,601 for her two days
on the show. Plus, her husband was once in Jeopardy’s
Tournament of Champions, so you know they clean up on trivia night!

It could have gone much worse. Just imagine if Sean Connery
was on the scene. (People)
