Every avid shopper has at least once stumbled upon a deal that seemed too good to be true. It's an unnerving experience: Can I really have this? For that price? Unfortunately for the dozens of customers who thought they scored a pair of Lucky Brand
jeans for a penny on Tuesday, it actually was. A promotional code was publicly released prompting shoppers to use the code "VDAYCNTST," allowing them to buy any two pairs of jeans for
two cents (including free shipping). Obviously, this is a major markdown from the average retail price of Lucky Brand jeans, which typically ranges from $99 to $170. But, turns out — surprise! — this lucky break was never intended to happen and, needless to say, was subsequently unapproved by the company.
