Tinder Stalking Just Got Way Easier

Scrolling through someone’s Instagram feed is a good way to quickly get a sense of his or her interests and personality — which is helpful when that person is someone you’re considering dating. A couple selfies are normal, but you wouldn’t want a total narcissist (and what's with the rat in every shot of that guy?). Tinder realized this, and in an update today, added Instagram integration so you can scroll through a potential date's Instagram feed without leaving the app (among other profile improvements). A lot of Tinder users already include their Instagram handles in their profiles, so the integration is logical for the app, and handy for us. When you click to see someone’s Instagram, you get access to his or her 34 most recent photos. If you want more, you can tap to see the whole profile, photo comments, likes, and other details. Tinder won't post anything to your Instagram, and won't change any of your existing privacy settings. If your Instagram account is private, you can still take part in this integration if you want: If you grant the dating app access, your Instagrams will be public only on Tinder.
Tinder made a couple of other profile changes as well: It now includes your Facebook interests in your profile and highlights what things you and a match have in common. And, on top of showing your mutual friends, you can also now see if you each have friends who are friends with one another (a second-degree connection).  These new features are free and available to all users (none of that ageist BS we've seen, um, before). All you have to do is update the app. Happy swiping!
