EL James’ Husband Will Write The Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie Sequel

Mr. Leonard will see you now. That's Leonard as in Niall Leonard, the man just hired to write the script for the cinematic sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey. He's an author, and a screenwriter, and a father of two. He also happens to be married to EL James (real name: Erika Leonard). The Hollywood Reporter confirms that James, the British author behind the steamy series, has tapped her husband to take on the second film. Kelly Marcel, who wrote the first film's script, will not return for the sequel, nor will director Sam Taylor-Johnson. Leonard, whose screenwriting credits include U.K. TV shows Wire in the Blood and Air Force One Is Down, also contributed to the original film's script. "Niall is an outstanding writer in his own right, with multiple established credits, and we are lucky to have him join Team Fifty," producer Michael De Luca told THR.
