This story was originally published on May 7, 2015. The bad news: Fox has cancelled The Mindy Project after three seasons. The good news: Mindy Kaling's sitcom still might survive. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Television is in talks with Hulu to move the show to the streaming channel. Sources predict that TMP could strike a deal that would see two more seasons. Though the series has never been a ratings powerhouse, it has a strong fan base. Hulu is also reportedly looking to ramp up its own original programming, which means a renewal would be a win-win. Have faith, Team Kaling. We may be gettng more Mindy and Danny action after all. And, if not, there's always the book.
