Karlie Kloss Makes A Case For Low-Waisted Jeans

For the past year or so, high-waisted jeans have been the only jeans. But, hopefully, you haven't completely banished belly-baring pants from your wardrobe — because, like many trends of yore, the low rise is back. It was only a matter of time, really. With the omnipresence of crop tops over the past few seasons, people are sufficiently comfortable flashing their stomachs. A reemergence of the ‘90s hip-hugger is a no-brainer. Yesterday, Karlie Kloss headed to Nice for Cannes Film Festival wearing slouchy, pelvis-skimming denim. Given her recent collaboration with Frame, it’s safe to say this girl knows her dungarees. (And, we should probably all follow suit immediately.) Kloss wore her cuffed boyfriend jeans with a simple, black sweater that showed a subtle sliver of midriff. A couple of cool-kid accessories, including bright-white Supergas and a camel Mansur Gavriel backpack, turned it into an outfit worthy of a trip to France. Whether or not you, too, are airport-bound, it’s a look worth stealing.
