Miley Cyrus Helped Get Her Favorite TV Show Renewed

When Miley Cyrus tweets, people listen. Some of those people include major power players at Netflix. When the pop star took to social media to share her love of the channel's new comedy, Grace and Frankie, executives took note. Lo and behold, the Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin show will be getting renewed for a second season. “Let me say, it’s so awesome to do a show on Netflix,” co-creator Marta Kauffman told Variety. “Because two-and-a-half weeks after we launched, Miley Cyrus does a tweet about your show, and they call and say, ‘We’d like to do a season two.’ So yes, there is a season two. We have Ted [Sarandos, head of content acquisition at Netflix] and Miley to thank.” Here's the tweet that kicked it all off.
