If you listen to the Gilmore Guys podcast, you know that Rory's boyfriends are one of the most hotly debated topics. Are you Team Dean, Team Logan, or Team Jess? A lot of Gilmore Girls fans are surprisingly Team Jess, arguing that the bad boy, who loved to read almost as much as Rory Gilmore, was a boyfriend she needed to have for personal growth. The two broke up when Jess moved away from Stars Hollow, and it looks like he might still be harboring some ill will towards his ex.
On a recent episode of The CW Seed's The P.E.T. Squad Files, actor Milo Ventimiglia, who played Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls — and also dated actress Alexis Bledel off-screen for almost four years — poked a little fun at his televised teen romance. Ventimiglia's P.E.T. Squad Files character Cash is seen watching a particularly emotional scene between Jess and Rory when two other actors barge in.
"You guys watching Gilly Girls? I f—king love that show! Hey, Cash, that guy kind of looks like you," one says.
"I get that a lot," Cash (Ventimiglia) responds.
"I took one of those personality tests; I'm like a classic Rory," another character says.
Then, Cash watches the dramatic Gilmore Girls scene unfold a bit more. "Only say 'no' if you really don't want to be with me," Jess told Rory, issuing an ultimatum. "No," was her response.
"Rory sucks, bro," Cash says wistfully.
Well, it's good to see that Jess and Milo have both gotten over the break-up. We know, we know; it's just a web show. In that case, it's nice to see that Milo Ventimiglia can laugh at himself, and his teen drama past.
