Lauren Graham Poses With Her TV Daughters In An Attempt To #BreakTheInternet

Apologies to Kim Kardashian and Paper Magazine, but this is how you #breaktheInternet. First, you take two of television's most amazing and beloved mother-daughter pairings. Then, you use the fact that the same actress (Lauren Graham) played the mom in both scenarios, and have the actresses who played her daughters (Alexis Bledel on Gilmore Girls and Mae Whitman on Parenthood) meet IRL for the first time. Have the whole thing unfold at a TV festival in Austin, and make sure it's captured on social media so it can be shared many, many times. Many of you already know that Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel reunited (and it felt SO good) with the rest of the Stars Hollow clique for a Gilmore Girls reunion at the ATX Television Festival this weekend. What you may not have known was that Graham's other TV daughter, Mae Whitman — who played Amber Holt on Parenthood — tagged along, as did her on-screen brother Drew Holt (Miles Heizer). While she was there, Whitman also played the role of Dawson Leery in a gender-swapped reading of the Dawson's Creek pilot. Anyway, Whitman clearly knows how fierce the Gilmore Girls and Parenthood fandoms can be. She shared this photo of the epic moment with Amber met Rory.

TVLine's Michael Ausiello upped the stakes significantly when, upon seeing the picture, he tweeted, "Your house is on fire. You can only grab one. Who will it be, @thelaurengraham?" "Lorelai's Choice," Whitman joked back. Also, if you know anything about Mae Whitman, you know that she's the biggest Friday Night Lights fan on the planet. She continued to have the best weekend of her life when Stacey Oristano, who played Mindy Riggins on FNL, gave Whitman the actual photo of Tim Riggins that adorned the family's mantle on the show. I'm not quite sure how this post started out talking about Gilmore Girls and ended up being about Tim Riggins, but seeing as those are two of our favorite things, we're not mad.
