Why Is This Cat Wearing A Halter Top?

There are plenty of problems with the concept of one-size-fits-all clothing. Some companies swear by it; others say it’s good for testing trends, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that size 2, size 8, and size 12 are each just one size. They can't, by the laws of physics, be every size at the same time. It does take a cat, however, to prove this very special point. And that is why this feline is wearing a crocheted halter top. According to an Amazon customer review that has now gone viral, a 16-year-old girl purchased a white, one-size-fits-all crochet top from the online retailer only to find that the one size was way too small. So small, in fact, that the girl’s mother posted a comment complaining about the issue: “My 16 y.o. daughter bought this thing. It is ridiculously small and I probably couldn't legally post a picture of what it looks like if she attempts to wear it.” This mother, "Christy,” wanted to give her comment some context. “But, so you can see... here is a picture of our cat wearing it. To be fair, it does cover all of the cat's nipples, however, she hates the weave.”

The top in question, which can be seen on Amazon in the photo to the left, has been getting plenty of similar reviews — "This is a baby sized top. Do not buy unless you want to be naked," one commenter said — but Christy's testimonial by far is our favorite. One-size-fits-all may not be meant to include your pets, but this cat's the perfect spokesmodel for just how exclusionary the sizing method can be.
