Pitch Perfect 3 Is Happening

Pitch Perfect 3 is officially in the works, according to The Hollywood Reporter. And, it's going to be expensive. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson were paid $2 million each for Pitch Perfect 2, reports THR. But, since the latest installment did so well — $160.9 million domestic box office — it's likely their pay will be raised accordingly. "Deals for a third movie will be costly because options aren't in place for the pair," THR reports. But, sources tell the magazine that Universal and Gold Circle must have been "smelling a franchise" when they brought on Hailee Steinfeld. Sources tell THR Universal is negotiating with writer Kay Cannon, who brought you the first two installments. Though, there's no word about bringing back Elizabeth Banks to direct.
