Selena Gomez is bringing sexy back in the new video for her single, "Good for You." The simple, sultry track will presumably be featured on her upcoming sophomore album, which does not yet have an official release date.
In a low-key style that seems to channel the minimalism of Lorde and the bombshell boldness of Lana Del Rey, Gomez croons, "I just wanna look good for you" to an unnamed love interest. The singer appears variously in a silk dress on a vintage lime-green sofa, in a classic white tee on a coolly painted floor, and in one steamy scene, wearing nothing at all in the shower.
While the original version of the song that dropped just this Monday included a guest verse from rapper A$AP Rocky, this pared-down take is all about Gomez, who wants to "show you how proud I am to be yours, leave this dress a mess on the floor, and still look good for you, good for you, uh-huh."
Maybe this is part of the "next chapter" she's been talking about on Instagram? Either way, we're certainly watching.
