Although Whoopi Goldberg remains in his corner, Bill Cosby has been experiencing some serious fallout from revelations that he purchased Quaaludes to lure women to sleep with him.
Yesterday, the comedy legend lost the support of singer Jill Scott. Now, the Orlando Sentinel reports that a statue bearing his likeness is being removed from Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. The statue was reportedly set to be taken down last night after the park had closed.
A relative of one of the actor's alleged victims had been circulating an online petition to remove the statue from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza for months.
"To not be able to walk through Disney without having that difficult encounter, it makes me sad," the woman, Brittany Gavrilova, told local station WESH. "Like, wow, this person hurt a family member of mine.”
She continued, "Especially now that a document has been released where he has admitted to it, I don't think that someone like that should be placed on a pedestal, especially where people bring their families."
Disney spokespeople confirmed the statue's removal, but declined to cite their motivation.
