Olivia Munn's Psylocke costume for the new X-Men movie has a unique power that we wouldn't exactly call super: Crotch-popping. Ah, yes, the perils of latex.
Appearing on Conan with other cast members from the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, Munn described what it takes to get into her form-hugging Psylocke costume: Two women and lube. (A bald James McAvoy helpfully brought up the whole "lubrication" concept.) Cue awkward reactions from O’Brien and Andy Richter, and the sounds of a too-eager audience. Although, wearing latex isn’t as sexy as it may sound.
“The first day I put on the latex suit and I was out there and I was really excited to be with these guys and I met Michael and James and everybody, and I was just so excited. I was like okay I want to do a really good job and I just popped the crotch,” she explained. “The latex just broke.”
Munn had previously teased the costume on Instagram with a caption stating, “If the latex fits…”
It turns out it didn't.
