Marc Jacobs divulged his colorful plans for Bastille Day on Instagram today. Rebounding gracefully from #buttgate, Jacobs shared the above snap of his elegant dining room. The table is tastefully set with flowers, sterling silver chargers, and linen placemats and napkins. A quartet of pop-art prints cheerfully frame a vintage sideboard set with a tea service in the background. "Loooong day at work, and a nice Bastille Dinner party at home with friends tonight," the 52-year-old designer and avid art collector captioned an earlier snap, standing in front of Richard Prince's Island Nurse.
No telling if the guest list includes fashion-world elite, such as good pal (and previous dinner party attendee) Grace Coddington, or if the evening might head in a more decidedly French direction — did somebody say ménage à trois? We do know that if Jacob's personal chef, Lauren Gerrie, is in the kitchen, this dinner will be one to remember. Or, at least one that we'll remember from poring over the evening's Instagrams.
Feel free to DM us an invite next time, Marc?
