The outrageously funny Mindy Kaling told us last month that she is looking forward to being "a little bit more daring" when The Mindy Project makes its Hulu debut this fall, and now, the beautifully bobbed writer/producer/comedian is revealing her plans for the hit show's Season 4 premiere: An homage to the beloved 1998 Gwyneth Paltrow rom-com, Sliding Doors.
Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt — the gentleman we love and respect for, among other things, managing to quietly marry a smart and stunning robotic engineer earlier this year — will guest star in the Sliding Doors-inspired premiere, BuzzFeed News reports.
The episode will take place in an alternate reality, where Mindy is no longer with Danny Castellano (Chris Messina). Instead, her character will be married to Matt (Gordon-Levitt), a reality show producer for Bravo. So, basically, the man of fictional-Mindy's pop-culture obsessed dreams.
An official Hulu launch date for the series, which currently has 26 new episodes in the works, has not yet been announced, but we'll definitely be watching when it debuts.
