President Obama Spends Some Dad-time With Sasha & Malia

We imagine you don't get much alone time with Dad when he's the President of the United States. Thankfully, the First family was given that rare opportunity this weekend when President Barack Obama was able to schedule some family bonding time with daughters Malia, 17, and Sasha, 14, while also attending to work in New York City. Although the journalists traveling with the President will be updated as to his schedule, they won't take part in any of the group's weekend activities. "That might interfere with the personal nature of the father-daughter time," joked White House spokesman Josh Earnest at a Friday press briefing. Taking advantage of what Josh calls this "rare opportunity," Sasha and her father flew up on Air Force One Friday as Malia is already in the city working at a summer internship (on the set of HBO Girls no less). According to the Associated Press, President Obama and the girls received a private tour of the Whitney Museum of American Art on Friday after an Italian dinner at Carbone (they had veal parm and crab cakes, yum). This afternoon the President was spotted in Central Park, which is the best way to spend a Saturday in NYC.
