Mondays can be tough, but those beginning-of-the-week blues got a lift, thanks to the Hollywood rumor mill. As The Hollywood Reporter reports, Xena: Warrior Princess could be making its way back to your small screens.
The action-adventure drama starred the queen of '90s tough girls, Lucy Lawless. After appearing as a secondary character on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, fans were so enamored of Xena that she received her own spinoff.
The NBC project is only in the very early stages of development, as the studios are currently searching for a writer to join the "modern reboot." There is no knowledge of whether Lawless will join the cast, but original executive producers Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi are said to be involved. THR sources also shared that insiders would like Lawless to have a hand in the series' return both on and behind the screen. We couldn't agree more.
Let the countdown begin. And, remember: "She fights for good and not for fame."
