Looks like this year will be another Beyoncé-Taylor Swift face-off at the MTV Video Music Awards. The two queens of pop music will compete against each other for awards including Video of the Year, Best Female Video, and Best Pop Video at this year's ceremony scheduled for August 30. They've both come a long way since the Kanye interruption of 2009.
Though it was a relatively quiet year for Beyoncé, she racked up the nominations for her "7/11" video, while Swift's nods were divided between her videos for "Blank Space" and "Bad Blood," the latter of which is a Kendrick Lamar collaboration featuring her army of girlfriends.
With Miley Cyrus hosting, this year's ceremony should be a must-watch for shock value alone. Those in the running for Moonman trophies were revealed this morning on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio. See the full list of nominations below.
