Taylor Swift Responds To Nicki Minaj’s VMAs Tweets

So, see anything interesting on Twitter last night? Yesterday, Nicki Minaj went online to vent that the MTV VMAs snubbed for Video of
the Year, implying that it was because the curve-flashing video didn't jibe with their standards of physical beauty. "When the 'other' girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination,"
she tweeted. Taylor Swift must have taken Minaj's comments about "other" girls to mean her. The pop star responded to the tweet with one of her own.
Minaj didn't respond to Swift's offer, but she did express confusion as to why Swift was getting involved. She also called out former American Idol colleague Ryan Seacrest for appearing to take Swift's side in his reporting. Seacrest has since changed his article's headline.

Later, the rapper retweeted fans' tweets that defended her over Swift.
So, that escalated quickly. Even Aaron Paul, Ed Sheeran, and Bruno Mars have waded into the drama, with comments that seem to detract from the point Minaj was originally trying to make. We just hope these two talented women can clear up any bad feelings or miscommunication soon. Here's to each of them having a big moment at next month's VMAs.
