Not everyone goes for shades of white. For the couple's civil ceremony this weekend in Monaco, Italian heiress Beatrice Borromeo wore a pink Valentino haute couture gown with gold lace chiffon.
As seen in Valentino's Instagram photo, the gown is floor-length and features bell sleeves, a style that was very popular in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The bride wore her hair down, in waves, with a flower crown instead of a veil and carried a small bouquet. The groom, Pierre Casiraghi, wore a summery gray suit. He is is the younger son of Caroline, Princess of Hanover, and her second husband, Stefano Casiraghi.
The House of Valentino write that the gown was designed specifically for Beatrice by Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, while People report that the bride's family has a close, personal relationship with the design house–both of her sisters were also married in Valentino and she is expected to wear another custom Valentino gown for the religious ceremony in Italy next weekend.
