Update: Sky News reported late last night that authorities confirmed a body believed to be that of Ian Jones had been found during the search for the couple. Tali Lennox posted a heartbroken message to her late partner on Instagram shortly after the news emerged.
"My heart is shattered. My best friend, my soul mate, my partner in crime & creativity, the LOVE & LIGHT of my life is no longer with me. All the love that has been sent to me is giving me the strength to get through this. I know that he is so so happy that I was safely rescued. Let us honor & celebrate this beautiful soul & keep following the light."

Tali Lennox, successful model turned bold self-portrait painter and daughter of musician Annie Lenox, survived a kayaking accident in the Hudson River yesterday. But her boyfriend, artist Ian Jones, is still missing, People reports. Lennox and Jones were paddling in the Hudson River on Saturday morning near the Staatsburgh State Historic Site when their tandem kayak capsized at approximately 9:30am, Dutchess County Sheriff's Captain John Watterson told the magazine. "The current in the Hudson River is very strong and we believe the current played a role in the kayak capsizing," he explained. "Once the two got in the water it was difficult for them to stay together." Luckily for Lennox, a passing vessel saw her and was able to quickly pluck her from the water. Jones was not so fortunate, and the search for the photographer continued until 10pm Saturday night, when a rough current demanded its temporary stop. The search resumed at 7:30am this morning, with a Marine patrol and dive team joining the effort. Neither Lennox nor Jones were wearing life preservers, and "there is the real possibility that Jones may have drowned," Watterson acknowledged to People. But the Captain hasn't given up: "We're doing everything we can to find him. We hope to find him alive and well." Anyone with information is urged to contact the Dutchess County Sheriff at 845-486-3800 or 845-605-CLUE (2583), or by emailing dcsotips@gmail.com. Our thoughts are with Jones, Lennox, and their friends and families during this time.
