As tired as you may be of reading about the Kardashian-Jenner clan, we're just as tired of writing about them (trust us). Alas, they continue not to give a fuck, so here we are again. This time, it's Kendall who's stirring the pot — the one you'd least suspect.
Kendall has been spotted out and about wearing cornrows — just over a month after her little sister's feud with Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg, during which Amandla called out Kylie for cultural appropriation after seeing her sport the look. Amandla asked the youngest Jenner why she would wear a historically Black hairstyle, but not use her influence to help advance causes like fighting police brutality. Clearly, her words didn't register with either of them: Kylie has worn them again since the incident.
This isn't the first or second (or third) time the sisters have been wrapped up in cornrow controversy. Marie Claire was under fire last year after referring to Kendall's half-braided head of cornrows as "[taking] bold braids to a new epic level" on its Twitter.
The message seems to be falling on deaf ears, since the famous family continues to be accused of appropriation (nine times and counting, according to BuzzFeed). And, despite the continuous backlash, it looks like they're not worried about anything except doing them.
You win some, you lose some. In the meantime, let's revisit Stenberg's video on not cash-cropping on her cornrows, shall we?
