We Can’t Get Over This Little Boy Crying About The First Day Of School

Before you start gently mocking your friends for posting a gazillion photos of their kids' first day of school, take a moment to watch this video. The pain is real, people. Like, we don't even know this kid and we want to sweep into his classroom, tell him to grab his backpack, and peace out, never to return. Allow us to explain. This little cutie in the blue polo shirt is Andrew. He's four, and he's starting his first day of school at pre-K. Andrew kindly stopped to field a few questions about the experience for a local reporter, until she lobbed him with a journalistic right hook that would take David Frost by surprise. "Are you going to miss your mom?" Poor Andrew proclaims "no," then nervously giggles and crumples into a full Claire Danes level nine cry-face. We imagine this is how Sarah Palin felt when Katie Couric asked her about her reading habits. Long story short, Andrew will miss his mommy (who will probably be playing this video at every family gathering), that reporter is a monster (kidding), and our hearts have been smashed into a million pieces.
