Taylor Swift Skips The Raunchy Bits During “You Oughta Know” Duet With Alanis Morissette

At this point, it might be more efficient for us to be writing articles about the famous people who haven't yet made it to the stage during Taylor Swift's 1989 tour this summer. And yet, the guest star of Monday night's show still warrants special recognition: Alanis Morissette. The original queen of the smash hit breakup song joined Swift onstage at the Staples Center in L.A. for a duet of "You Oughta Know." There is one thing we have to point out here, however, which, if it's true, says a lot about how Swift is different from her rage-belting foremother. I'm sure she'd make a really excellent mother." Is that because Swift isn't quite ready to be singing about public oral sex for her impressionable young fans? Or did she just want to give the spotlight to Morissette? Alternate take: She did sing along to those lyrics and we just can't tell because Morissette is louder and the camera is on her.
