Update: Urban Decay just announced that the official launch date for its Vice4 Palette will be September 12 at Urban Decay, and September 25 at Sephora, Ulta, and Macy's. (You can start getting in line now — right behind us.)
More information regarding the palette: The 20 shades were inspired by the colors of an oil-slick, and include gorgeous jewel tones like 1985 (a purpley-fuschia), Grasshopper (an icy emerald), and Arctic (a rich teal) as well as pretty neutrals and Deadbeat, an intense black satin shade that will be your new smoky-eye go-to. The eyeshadows are housed in a black case with a cool, metallic spiderweb design (it also features a mirror and double-ended brush).

Looks like Christmas is coming early for makeup lovers this year. Urban Decay announced via Instagram that its latest palette — Vice 4 — will be launching soon, alongside an image of the coolest spiderweb-like packaging we ever did see.
Urban Decay is famous for its holy grail eyeshadows, but unlike the fan-favorite Naked palettes, which include mostly nude shades, Vice is all about color. If the above image the brand's founder Wende Zomnir posted is any indication, the palette will include shades ranging from dark metallic to light purple — and a whole lot of shimmer.
While information about the release date is still pending, based on the launch of its Vice 3 palette (which came out in September of last year) we're guessing it's coming to a beauty counter near you early this fall — just in time for the holidays (did we mention all of the shimmer?). We don't know about you, but that packaging alone is enough to make us start repenting for our summer sins, lest we end up on Santa's naughty list.
