Check Out Polaroid’s Cute Instant Printing Camera

Smartphones are great for snapping photos any moment an Instagrammable moment arises, but not so great if you want those photos to exist in the real world. If you don't mind sticking one more thing in your purse, you can carry Polaroid's cute new camera, which (in true Polaroid fashion) prints the photos you take instantaneously. The Polaroid Snap is an instant digital camera, and a big cousin to the super-petite Polaroid Cube. It snaps 10-megapixel images that it then prints out at a 2x3-inch size. It can capture photos in three modes — color, black-and-white, and a vintage Polaroid-photo filter — and also has a photo-booth mode that takes six shots over a 10-second time span. You can keep shooting more photos while it prints out ones you've already taken; photos take a little under a minute to print. Images come out on special paper embedded with dye crystals, so you don't have to worry about smudging or bleeding (no word on whether you need to "shake it like a Polaroid picture"). Onboard, it has 32 GB of micro SD card storage for transferring images to a computer later — kind of a shame that it doesn't connect to your phone for that, but it does keep the price point down. Snap comes in black, blue, white, and red models, and goes on sale later this year for $100. With all the '90s awesomeness resurging lately, we can't say we're not a little excited that the instant-printing Polaroid may also come back in style. In the meantime…
