Drew Barrymore & Other VIP Guests Help Us Celebrate 29Rooms

On September 10, we invited 2,500 of our coolest friends to a warehouse in Brooklyn to celebrate our 10th birthday, the kickoff of New York Fashion Week, and the debut of 29Rooms, a dazzling interactive art experience like nothing you've seen before. The party was hosted by Drew Barrymore, Alexa Chung, and Zoe Kravitz, and offered guests an exclusive sneak peak at the main event: 29 rooms designed by a who's who of visionaries, including Solange Knowles and Saint Heron. The effect is a total immersion into a world crackling with creativity. Since the experience is all about bringing to life the kind of spaces that usually exist only in our imaginations, we asked some of our VIP guests what their dream room would look like. Here's what they had to say:
Drew Barrymore: "You know, right now it would just be white, because every little accent would pop out. [Before] I've had very eclectic, cluttered, colorful, constant pattern-clashing rooms. And all of the sudden, I just want a white serenity temple." One of our star DJs for the night, Brenmar: "Lots of cats. Probably just full of cats." Alexa Chung: "Have you ever been to Palm Springs, where they have those weird hotels, where you can stay in the cave room? I've always wanted a room that has stalagmites and stalactites. And a leopard print revolving bed! Yeah, Austin Powers kind of cavewoman."

Orange Is The New Black
actress Diane Guerrero: "Super elegant, and just crazy lush. And I envision fainting couches... And beautiful velvet, just tons of velvet everywhere. And I love roses!"

Orange Is The New Black
star Dascha Polanco: "It would be super-organized, everything labelled. Full of scents, candles, flowers, sparkles. Everything very neat!" Actor Alan Cumming: "Just grass. I'd like it to be like I live in a meadow." Social media star and R29 hero Baddie Winkle: "I like bright colors!" Actress Cara Santana : "There'd be a lot of kittens. I'm a crazy cat lady!" 29Rooms is open to the public Saturday, September 12, from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. For more information, go to www.refinery29.com/29Rooms. Come see it while you can!
