Florida Man Shoots Puppies, Is Shot By Puppy

Jerry Allen Bradford, a 37-year-old man from Pensacola, FL, couldn't find homes for a litter of puppies, so he decided to do something terrible: shoot them. He had killed three when there was an accident — with a little bit of poetic justice. While Bradford tried to juggle the puppies and his gun, one of the would-be victims put his paw on the revolver's trigger. Bradford was shot in the wrist. The three surviving German shepherd pups (including the excellent shot) were taken into the custody of Escambia County Animal Control. This incident also led to some of the most darkly comedic twists on on one of the internets' oldest jokes: Florida Man, the Twitter feed that mocks the sad, colorful headlines out of the sunshine state.
