The Celebs Important Enough To Already Be Wearing NEXT Season’s Clothes

Today is the first official day of fall. And yesterday, on autumnal eve, Sienna Miller arrived at the 2015 San Sebastian Film Festival in a brand-new checked midi dress by Victoria Beckham Collection. How new, exactly? Well, the style had been seen before on the runway at New York Fashion Week just days ago. Basically, the dress is negative six months old — from a collection that's not meant to be available until next spring. Because you know what's better than donning your fresh fall duds before the season even begins? Skipping fall altogether and gunning straight for spring '16. Never mind that we're halfway through Fashion Month and have yet to see 50% of the new collections. One of the most exclusive fashion trends in Hollywood (which will inevitably inform how the rest of us plan our wardrobes) is to pluck the looks straight off the runway, while they're still hot. Kerry Washington was the first to wear spring '16 a full six months before that particular equinox. (The sequined Marc Jacobs midi dress she wore to the Emmys — previously only known as Look Number 49 — was but approximately 72 hours old before it made its way to the red carpet.) Miller let Look 9 from Victoria Beckham's show sit on the rack a little longer — but not long enough for the hype to cool. VB herself gave the actress a shout-out on social media, raving about her creation's real-life debut.
