The Rock’s Response To A Mean Tweet Was Pretty Edgy

It's not always easy to think of a comeback to an insult — especially on the spot. But, for Dwayne Johnson, that's not an issue. He just taps into his inner middle schooler to swing back. On tonight's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Bette Midler, Liam Neeson, and The Rock appeared to read — and respond to — mean tweets about themselves as part of Kimmel's Mean Tweets Live Week. Midler and Neeson didn't really comment on their mean tweets, opting instead to simply make a disapproving face and walk off the stage. But, The Rock had something to say. One brave Twitter user wrote about being "sick of seeing The Rock" everywhere. The tweeter called him a "candy ass movie star," suggesting that he "go suck it." Johnson, cool as ever, simply looked into the camera and responded, "I'll give you something to suck." It's a controversial answer, to be sure. And also a kind of surprising one (although, we get it — what else do you say to something like that?). Because, despite the superhuman amount of cod he eats and the fact that he could take just about anyone in a fight, Johnson's always come off as kind of a softy. He does things like lip sync to Taylor Swift, save puppies from drowning, and surprise-officiate weddings. And now he's making penis jokes. We just didn't see it coming.
