The apple never seems to fall far from the tree in Hollywood. Johnny Depp's 16-year-old daughter Lily-Rose is following in her famous dad's footsteps with a unique role. According to Variety, she's just signed on to a 19th-century drama called The Dancer.
The movie centers on the life of modern dance pioneer Loie Fuller, who will be played by French singer-songwriter and actress Soko. Depp will play Isadora Duncan, a character close to Fuller who "grew up in poverty and became a dance prodigy, quickly achieving worldwide fame," Variety explains. Gaspard Ulliel, Mélanie Thierry, and François Damiens also round out the cast. Filming will begin on September 28.
Depp has certainly been keeping busy: In May, the budding actress celebrated her 16th birthday with a "Sour Sixteen." That same month, it was also announced that she will play Natalie Portman's sister in a 1930s drama called Planetarium. If her latest roles are any indication, prepare to see more of the youngest Depp on the big screen in the near future.
