Planning your wedding is hard work no matter who you are — but it can be that much more difficult when your own divorced parents can't set aside their resentments, even for your big day. Brittany Peck's father, Todd Bachman, wouldn't know anything about that. Because when it came time to walk his daughter down the aisle during her Ohio nuptials last Saturday, he stopped the proceedings so that Peck's stepfather, Todd Cendrosky, could join in that special moment.
Mashable reports that Peck, 21, was just about to make her grand entrance when Bachman suddenly strode over to Cendrosky, took him by the hand, and led him back to Peck, so she could be accompanied down the aisle by both of her dads. Photographer Delia D. Blackburn captured the moment in several Facebook posts that have since gone viral:

Guests looked on in disbelief, but it quickly turned into tearful joy. “Everybody was shocked, silent and crying,” Blackburn told the local paper. “There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. Even I was crying.”
But no one was more surprised than Peck, who had confided in her father several weeks before that she was feeling conflicted about who should walk her down the aisle, since both men had helped raise her. Recognizing the difficult position his daughter was in, Bachman decided at that moment to bring Cendrosky into the ceremony rather than making Peck choose between them — despite the fact that he and his ex-wife's current husband have a strained relationship. "He has been as much a part of her life as me," Bachman said of his decision.
If only all divorced parents could be so selfless when it comes to their children's weddings.
